Fabio Jafet began his career as a broadcast news
journalist. For 12 years Fabio Jafet covered some of the most shocking and
controversial events of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.
His desire to get the best story often led to him going undercover to such
destinations as Cuba, the Bahamas, Mexico,
Australia, and the Middle East. During this time, Fabio Jafet was nominated
for 13 News Emmys and won 9 of those nominations. Fabio Jafet was a member of
the Society of Professional Journalists while he was working in the field of
broadcast news journalism. Fabio Jafet

to grow as a journalist. He also valued the camaraderie that the organization
encouraged among members.
The Society of Professional Journalists was established
in 1909 at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Membership is encouraged
for those who work in broadcast, online, and print journalism. Members also
